Day 9
Day 9, 2 1/4 more hours of work done. While Dad created and secured the cardboard dams I worked on rolling in the second coat of epoxy inside the hull. When we poured the end pours we first had a leak because the mixture was a little too thin. We got that patched up pretty quick and made the next batch a little thicker. After that dad came out to the garage to help me get the snow blower on the tractor, when I came back in I saw that the end pour in the rear had expanded and overflowed. It was fairly hardened by then but I go off what I could. It was interesting how it expanded with such force that it broke a few of the copper wire ties that were in place. It is nice and solid now and will just take a little sanding to get the sides smooth.
