Day 19

Day 19, 4 more hours of work done.Dad all by his self working on his boat while the help is off training.
Got the boat ready for its filleting.
Put on tape where some gaps could not be closed up with the wires so that the epoxy mixture would not bleed through to the out side of the boat.
Set up the bulkheads, prepared the fiberglass tape. This time I cut off the ridge that last time caused a problem with gaps and ended up having to sand them all down. Once the fillets in the cockpit were established, the pre-rolled fiberglass tape was put on the fillets and gently smoothed out.
Once all of the fillets were taped the cockpit fiberglass was cut to width and placed in the boat without pre-wet out of the fillet tape. The fiberglass was smoothed out then the clear epoxy mixture was applied to the glass and wetted out. After all the glass was wetted with epoxy the bulkheads were given a coat of epoxy mixture.
With a mixture of left over epoxy and wood flour, the bow section was give a generous fillet. All of the epoxy mixture was utilized, none went to waste.
